QSG Company History, Background and Core Competencies

Quality Systems Group (QSG) provides healthcare management consulting services with the primary purpose of assisting organizations achieve and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Independently owned and operated, QSG was founded 18 years ago by Joan LoBianco in Chandler, Arizona. Dee Sherman, President and now owner, has been affiliated with the organization since its inception in 1985. During the past 18 years QSG, (a woman-owned, small-business organization), has served over one hundred hospitals and other healthcare organizations, many of which continue to use the services and expertise of QSG on a periodic basis.

Quality Systems Group is a small company with a current core staff of six consultants which allows for the delivery of personalized, individualized consulting services tailored to each client organization. The consultants on staff have an average tenure with the company of over 10 years and each has extensive healthcare operations experience. At QSG, our hallmark is providing individualized consulting services relevant to specific operational settings with tailored implementation strategies.

Quality Systems Group promotes the establishment of comprehensive programs and systems that are institution specific. The scope of services and activities will be specifically tailored to meet the needs, goals and objectives of the healthcare organization, organizational leadership, mission and vision, and commitments to regulatory requirements, standards and regulations.

In addition to expertise on Joint Commission Standards, Quality Systems Group also has expert knowledge of other regulations and standards including Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) (formerly HCFA),Conditions of Participation and healthcare corporate compliance programs.

To this end, QSG offers education, consultation and program evaluations for healthcare corporate compliance programs, Conditions of Participation compliance and selected state regulations. Quality Systems Group has also published a comprehensive self-assessment manual for the CMS Conditions of Participation. Every QSG staff member is knowledgeable in the above-mentioned standards sets and incorporates this knowledge in standards evaluation.
